A family life event occurred that forever changed the trajectory of Lauren’s career: Lauren’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lauren used her orthopedic physical therapy skills to help her mother during this time. What she did not expect was that this experience would ignite a passion and redirect her career towards a niche practice in breast cancer care and post-surgical rehabilitation. After working a number of years for TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, she is ready to further grow and expand her services at Catalyst Physical Therapy.

Lauren displays extraordinary empathy and compassion to all of her patients. When working with Lauren, one can trust they will receive excellent care.

Lauren’s goal is to empower women while treating the impairments and issues related to surgery and the treatment of breast cancer.  Lauren is uniquely skilled in meeting the needs of all post-surgical clients, in addition to her expertise in providing compassionate care for breast cancer survivors and their caregivers. Her approach to physical therapy helps patients find relief from pain and physical limitations throughout all stages of healing and treatment.  Her certification as a lymphatic therapist further adds to her unique skill set, as she is positioned and well versed in helping patients ease the discomfort that occurs with swelling not only during cancer treatment but also following cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.

Lauren is a natural born teacher.  As a member of the Catalyst Physical Therapy team, she has the opportunity to commit more time to her love of furthering education of students and practicing physical therapists alike.  She enjoys speaking at professional conferences and in the community about the importance of breast cancer rehabilitation. She blends her teaching skills with her Pilates background, offering a very welcoming Pilates mat class for breast cancer survivors every week.

Lauren is married to a wonderful man named Marc, and together they parent two “effervescent" teenage daughters, Zoe and Reese. Her family loves to travel, but they are most at peace when they have the opportunity to enjoy quality beach time together. A great board game, a good book, and exercise all help to feed Lauren’s soul.
